A public index of the election record

Talking Receipts

The receipts don’t have talking heads.

PRIMARY SOURCES INDEXED: 21 CLAIM FAMILIES TRACKED: 6 CURRENT CYCLE: 1 ACTIVE VERDICTS RENDERED: 0

When a claim about Minnesota elections starts moving, this site attaches the primary documents that bear on it — statutes, canvass reports, statutory post-election reviews, court records — and stops there. No verdicts. No fact-checks. No faces. A document doesn’t have a byline, a donor, or a side. You read it and decide for yourself.

Every claim gets the same treatment, whichever direction it arrives from. The index below is the demonstration: six claim families that recur every cycle, each paired with the Minnesota records that speak to them. Every link is to an official primary source, verified live before it was printed here.

The record already exists — Minnesota keeps one of the most complete public election records in the country. Nobody had indexed it into something a claim can be checked against in thirty seconds. That’s the whole project.

House Rules

  1. Documents, not verdicts. A card says what a record is, never what it proves. The reading is yours.
  2. Both flanks, same treatment. A claim gets its documents attached whichever direction it arrives from.
  3. Nothing publishes unread. A human reads every card before it prints. Every link is verified live, and the date is on the card.
  4. Include the inconvenient document. Every card must carry the records that cut against the compiler’s own read, not just the ones that confirm it. Bias is checked by what gets put in, not by neutral tone.
